Even those who understand and work with travel insurance on a regular basis are occasionally surprised by a coverage that is available in a plan. Some of these coverages are quirky, unusually helpful, or simply make you wonder. We can’t even imagine what social behavior a traveler could display that would cause them to be declared a persona non grata by the country’s rulers, for example.
We’ve listed some of the unexpected travel insurance coverages and the plans where we found each. These surprise coverages may be found in plans other than the one we listed here.
